How Creators Use AI: Design, Music & Video Tools Explained
Things are ramping up when it comes to AI and creativity; its capabilities have gone way beyond telling you how you should answer a patronising email. We’re now seeing AI in design studios, music software, and even video production.
Design Tools That Do the Heavy Lifting
If you’ve played around with Midjourney or DALL·E, you’ll know what I mean here, but essentially, Midjourney’s great if you’re after dreamy, artistic vibes. But DALL·E? It's more about nailing the details and giving you something that actually looks like a real photo.
And then there’s Adobe Firefly, which slots neatly into the pro workflows designers already use — adding AI into Photoshop without blowing up your process.
You just type in what you want — “logo for a coffee shop, warm tones, minimal style” — and boom, you get a bunch of visual ideas to start with. You still need to use your judgement to pick and tweak, but it speeds up the whole process massively.
Music and Audio Generation
Now over to sound. Tools like Suno and Udio let you make full tracks just by describing what you want — genre, mood, instruments, even lyrics. Great for background music if you’re making videos, launching a podcast, or just need something royalty-free and decent.
Is it going to create content that wins you an award? who knows. But for everyday content, it gets the job done.
